What you'd do

  • Companionship and conversation, and a steady presence in the home
  • Help with everyday tasks: light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and errands
  • Help with mobility, and support with daily routines
  • Notice and report changes, so families stay informed

What we're looking for

  • Real warmth toward older adults, and the patience the work asks for
  • Dependability, because someone is counting on you being there
  • Clear communication with families

What the job requires

  • Experience caring for older adults, professionally or for family
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
  • Authorized to work in the United States. Offers are contingent on a background check
  • Certifications like CNA, HHA, or CPR are welcome and not required

The schedule

To be determined when these positions open. We expect a mix of shift lengths and flexible scheduling.

Pay

$16 to $19 an hour, depending on experience. This is a part-time W-2 position. You're an employee of Harbor Lane, with taxes withheld and workers' compensation coverage, not an independent contractor.

Which areas will you work?

We schedule projects by area so you aren't crossing Houston twice a day. Pick everywhere you'd genuinely be willing to drive.

Which days are you generally available?

Most projects run weekdays between 8am and 4pm. You need at least two weekdays available between 9am and 3pm.

Can you work an occasional Saturday?

Practical requirements
